Decision on Research Award Grants

 

In accordance to a decision by an internal FREN Committee composed of Branislav Boricic, Branko Urosevic and Kori Udovicki , the following candidates qualified into the second round of the selection process for Research Award Grants, which started at the end of July 2005:

Knezevic Miljan

Petrovic Predrag

Pesalj Biljana

Cojbasic Vesna and Tomovic Andrija

 

During the second round, the following candidates were granted assistance by FREN in the re-formulation and improvement of their project proposals Pesalj Biljana, Petrovic Predrag, Vesna Cojbasic and Tomovic Andrija, while the remaining candidates founded mentors by them selves.

 

The new project proposals or paper texts were submitted to the Board on June 12, for a decision on a final award. During the deliberation process the Board agreed to select 4 candidates and Board members voted ranking the candidates and awarding 4 points to the highest placed, 3 to the next one, and so on. The record of the vote and final tally is confidental.

 

FREN Program Members are: Peter Miovic, Peter Sanfey, Michael Mandler, Branko Urosevic, Pavle Petrovic, Ranko Jelic, Zorica Mladenovic, Moshe Kim and Jurgen Mueller.

 

In line with the total scores collected by the candidates and the available Grant Award fund of Eur12,000 the Board decides to award the following amounts to the following candidates:
