Research "Understanding New Services Sector in Serbia"
The Foundation for the Advancement of Economics (FREN) conducted the survey of services sector enterprises operating in Belgrade. The survey is being conducted on a sample of 300 business units from services sector, focusing on the provision of knowledge based, ICT and media services. First results of the research will is presented on 14th of November 2006, at Venice Architecture Biennale Cities, architecture and society, as a part of the Project Belgrade presentation.

Documenting the development of the private sector in Serbia
The first stage of this project – elaborating a methodology for researching the private sector in Serbia – has been completed. For the second stage, the plan is to conduct an in-depth survey of the development and behavior of enterprises in Serbia , with emphasis on the effect of type of ownership on economic performance.

Mapping Serbia 's Labor Market
The objective of this empirical study published in late May 2006 is to provide an overview of the labor markets in the districts and municipalities of Serbia, identify the regions threatened by above-average unemployment, and recommend actions to economic policy makers and local authorities for the reduction of regional differences in Serbia's labor market.

Corporate Governance
This project is part of a broader project of the Stockholm Institute for Transitional Economies (SITE) dealing with the implementation of legislation on securities in countries in transition. Besides including Serbia in the comprehensive analysis, it will also contribute to disseminating knowledge about our country by gathering and analyzing data on important aspects of corporate governance.

Posted on the FREN website, the data base contains updated information in the fields of fiscal, monetary, foreign trade, and financial policies, with indicators of economic trends and growth, and is accessible to the broad professional public.

Econometric Modelling of Inflation in Serbia
This paper examines dynamics of inflation in Serbia in 2001-2005 and evaluates size of exchange rate pass-through. Within the cointegration framework it explains which factors determin price level in the long–term. Findings might be useful in choosing effective monetary and exchange rate stabilization policy in Serbia.
